ARTICLE XIV. AMENDMENTS
Section 1
An amendment to this Constitution may be proposed by a Constitutional Convention, popular initiative, or by the Olbiil Era Kelulau, as provided herein:
- at least once every fifteen (15) years, the Olbiil Era Kelulau may submit to the voters the question: “Shall there be a Convention to revise or amend the Constitution?” If a majority of the votes cast upon the question is in the affirmative, a Constitution Convention shall be convened within six (6) months thereafter, in a manner prescribed by law;
- by petition signed by not less than twenty-five percent (25%) of the registered voters; or
- by resolution adopted by not less than three-fourths (3/4) of the members of each House of the Olbiil Era Kelulau.
Section 2
A proposed amendment to this Constitution shall become effective when approved in the next regular general election by a majority of the votes cast on that amendment and in not less than three-fourths (3/4) of the states.
