Serena Williams’ Biography
Serena Williams’s parents, Oracene Price and Richard Williams, have coached her alongside her sister, Venus.
In 1995 she turned professional and won her first Single Title at the 199 US Open from the 2002 French Open to the 2003 Australian Open.
Serena Williams was dominant, winning all four significant Singles Titles (each time over Venus in the final).
She has also won 14 influential Women’s Double Titles with her sister Venus, and the pair are unbeaten in the Grand Slam Doubles final.
Williams is widely considered one of the greatest tennis players of all time.
Serena Williams’ Career
Serena Williams is the highest-earning woman athlete of all time. She has been earning almost $29m from 2016 to the present.
Her parents wanted her to be 16 before letting her participate in the professional tournament. Still, just as she turned 14, Williams planned to make her professional debut as a Wild-card entry in the Bank of the West Classic in Oakland, California. But she was denied because she did not meet the age qualifications.
She had lost many tournaments; in 2011, she ranked No.4 in Singles after six matches and No. 11 in doubles after four games.
She returned after being diagnosed with hematoma and a pulmonary embolism to be a star in table tennis, beating her sister Venus at every final.
Serena Williams’ Retirement
After the delivery of her child, Serena didn’t see the reason to quite a table tennis. To her, there was nothing wrong with doing what you love.
She returned to professional play in June 2022 when she partnered up with Ons Jabeur in Eastbourne International. The pairing retired from the tournaments afterward owing to an injury sustained by Jabeur. Williams also entered the 2022 Wimbledon.
Championships in Singles, accepted a Wildcard from her, after dropping to 1204th position in the Single ranking, she lost again to Harmony Tan in the first round, which was a 3-hour match, the Longest thus far at the tournament.
In August, which is recent, she got into the 2022 Canadian Open, using a unique ranking. She beats Nuria Parrizas Diaz in straight sets, making up for her first Single win in 14 months.
