Jamell Maurice Demons is an American rapper and singer better known as YNW Melly, which stands for Young Nigga World Melly. The tracks “Murder on My Mind,” “Mixed Personalities” (which he performed with Kanye West), “Suicidal” (which featured Juice Wrld), and “223’s” (which featured 9lokkNine) are among his most well-known. On October 19, 2015, YNW Melly was arrested for discharging a handgun in public and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he shot at three people near Vero Beach High School. After serving a year in prison, YNW Melly was released on probation. He was taken into custody in 2017 for violating the terms of his probation; he remained in jail until his release in March 2018. He was apprehended once more in Fort Myers, Florida, on June 30 2018, for possessing marijuana, a handgun or ammunition, and drug paraphernalia.
